Dade County is a county located in the state of Missouri. As of 2000, the population is 7,923. Its county seat is Greenfield6. The county was organized in 1841 and is named after Major Francis L. Dade of Virginia, who was killed in the Seminole War in 1835.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1,311 km² (506 mi²). 1,270 km² (490 mi²) of it is land and 41 km² (16 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 3.15% water.

The racial makeup of the county is 97.45% White, 0.27% Black or African American, 0.71% Native American, 0.14% Asian, 0.05% Pacific Islander, 0.19% from other races, and 1.20% from two or more races. 0.85% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 3,202 households out of which 29.10% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.30% are married couples living together, 6.50% have a female householder with no husband present, and 28.90% are non-families. 26.50% of all households are made up of individuals and 14.70% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.44 and the average family size is 2.93.
In the county the population is spread out with 24.30% under the age of 18, 6.80% from 18 to 24, 24.10% from 25 to 44, 24.40% from 45 to 64, and 20.30% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 42 years. For every 100 females there are 95.90 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 92.50 males.
